“If painting does nothing else, it should make you happy.”

I picked this puzzle up at a yard sale last summer, and I decided it was time to check it out. I bought it, because I wanted to check out his painting style in closer detail and this is released by a brand that I’ve never heard of before and therefore never tried. It’s called Wellspring, I’ll post a photo of the brand name and information below, but I will say that I enjoyed the quality! The pieces were on the large side but they were cut in a fun random cut and they were very strong. They were also made with a dark slate blue cardboard, which is just always kind of fun to change things up!

I cannot tell you how much I absolutely loved watching Bob Ross’ show when I was little. I used to spend a lot of my summers at my grandparents’ places in St. Catherine’s as a kid. My dad’s parents had cable and watched a lot of TV, which I loved because we really didn’t watch too much TV at home. My Nonie watched a soap opera, I can’t exactly remember which one, but I want to say that she watched the Days of Our Lives, but it could have been General Hospital. We also watched game shows like Jeopardy, and the Price is Right, and then I remember watching painting with Bob Ross.

When I tell you how blown away I was by his paintings every time, I could not believe my eyes! I especially loved when he used a circle or oval cut out, but painted over that in the process, and when he would peel away the frame and it was a big reveal at the end of the show, I was thrilled! 100% I loved Bob Ross’ painting show, some true summer memories for me, ha ha ha!

The person that sold this to me said it was complete, and well, I’m sure you can see in the photo above that it is missing a piece, which was kind of a bummer, to be truthful. But I’m not going to go back and demand my money back, so it is what it is, I guess.
This happy little puzzle was 500 pieces, missing one and was dated 2018.
