Wise Words on Wine

So simple and so perfect. This puzzle was published in 1982, and I have to say that it is perfection. It is so true to the early 80’s, the lighting, the premise of the whole puzzle itself, the colours, even the restaurant grade glassware that the wine is served in, it all screams 1982.

I bought this because I thought it was funny, I didn’t even notice the quotes on the back of the box until I pulled it off my shelf to assemble last week. I did not put it together when I bought it. “Wise Words on Wine” and there are quotes from different famous people about wine!

How hilarious is that? Many of them are poetic, some a little sassy, a lot of them really showcase how prevalent wine was in their time and culture. Now, I don’t drink anymore, I used to but I stopped a few years ago. But when I did drink more often, I can’t say I was a big wine drinker, I do remember enjoying a crisp and sweeter white wine on a summer day. I may drink a little more in the future, but for now, I just get too many surprise headaches, so I’ll stay away for now.

As I said, this dates back to 1982, the exact year that I was born! This is an impressive age for a puzzle, complete, in really good condition, it’s impressive! I thought I would share a few other Springbok gems from 1982 in no particular order we have Party Animals, E.T. and Computers: The Inside Story.

Cheers to a complete 43 year old puzzle!
