So I’ve said this before, and that is sometimes I find a vintage puzzle that is so unbelievably cool that I think I may have found all the cool puzzles and I should stop while I’m ahead. OK, first off, I will never stop assembling puzzles, and second, I love thrifting and digging so much that I can’t see myself stopping that either!

I think I found this at the Bridgewater Value Village, if I remember correctly. I am absolutely thrilled, thrilled that this is a complete puzzle. This is a 1979 Waddington’s release, this kind of retro graphic design is so perfect. I can’t completely describe why I love it, maybe the colours? The semi-psychedelic nature of it?

Is this not the most stunning graphic you’ve seen in a while? What I also love, is that I can’t quite discern if this is a photograph or an illustration. It reminds me of a fairground ride or even the mechanisms of a typewriter, but all lit up in bright colours and arranged in a circle.

I don’t have much to say about this one, I just think that it speaks for itself! So I thought I would link to some of my other fabulous finds from over the years, in no particular order here are some of my favourite show stopping finds (including this one of course). Wave of the Future, Foxfire, Micronauts – Baron karza VS. Force Commander, Prism Kaleidoscope, and M.C. Escher – Metamorphose.
The interesting thing, is that I’ve found the majority of these really incredible finds in Nova Scotia. I wonder if that’s because the Vancouver stores were very picked over? I feel like thrifting is also very popular here so I don’t totally buy that argument. I think with an older population here, there are a lot more older or vintage things being donated, it reminds me of the Vancouver thrifting scene in the early 2000’s.

This beauty is 500 pieces, it’s complete and in pristine condition. I am thrilled (as I said before) and this will be added to my permanent collection of puzzles, it’s too good!
