Phew! I guess that I took a little summer vacation! Unintentionally, of course. I’ve been home, working, not on vacation, still puzzling but I just didn’t find the time to dedicate to writing any posts about the fun puzzles I’ve completed.
I decided to puzzle this collage of vintage games, you know… “games people played”. Various board games, checkers, card games, one called Black Cat? That sounds kind of fun!
I especially enjoyed the semi-faded aesthetic to this puzzle, the blond tones are perfect.
Did you play games much with your family growing up? Or do you still play games?
My mom really liked to play games, as did my grandma but my dad wasn’t super into them. I do remember the odd time we could rope him into playing trouble or monopoly, but those were rare occasions. My mom, Oma and I would often play trouble or Mensch ärgere dich nicht as it’s called in German, as well as Chinese Checkers which is Halma in German.
Every once in a while, I want to play a game, but Joe and I don’t pull out the games often. I couldn’t say when the last time we did was, actually. Maybe I’ll bring it up with him this evening 🙂
This little collection of nostalgia is a 500 piece puzzle from Springbok released in 1994. It is complete and it was a delightful puzzle to assemble on a day off.
