When I learned that this puzzle was released in 1997, it all made so much sense to me. If you are an older millennial like me, perhaps you recall just how popular the chocolate curls were as garnish or cake decorations.
Every once in a while, my mom and Oma and I would go to this dessert cafe in Vancouver called Sweet Obsessions, there was one in Kitsilano and another in the West End near Stanley Park. They were the type of place that had the three tier cakes and you better believe they utilized the chocolate curl.
I never actually got those cakes, this place made really amazing apple pie and I just could not pass it up whenever we went there! So I never even tried their super decadent cakes, ha ha ha ha!
This Springbok 500 piecer is called Sweet Temptations and it was also complete! This was fairly simple to assemble until I go to the chocolate curls. They were definitely puzzling but we persevered and look at this decadent display of chocolatey treats.
