Well, I think it was pretty clear that I didn’t totally love my last puzzle, I wanted my next one to be a fun palate cleanser. A brand I love for the quality of pieces, images and difficulty levels is Cobble Hill. I’ve been sitting on this Fruit Basket Quilt puzzle for a couple of years now, (why do I save them?!)

I especially love these Quilt series puzzles, they are so colourful and full of pattern. Just a fun time in general. I’m sure you might be thinking how similar this is to Common Quilt Block Patterns. And then I especially love Quilted Christmas Tree.

This puzzle had me thinking about all the fruits of summer, I am definitely looking forward to those delights this coming season. I already bought some rhubarb this weekend, and I’m going to make a crumble or a pie in the next couple of days. Whichever I’m feeling like making tomorrow, probably crumble. Pies are a lot of fun to make but they feel like a weekend bake, they are just a little more work, but honestly, not allll that much more.

Each block had me thinking about and craving different fruits, that’s kind of funny! I have to say that I’m not the biggest fan of fresh pears, but strangely, I enjoy canned pears. Go figure.

We are hoping to have a yard sale over the coming weekend, so I took this opportunity to scan my puzzles for any contemporary ones that I could cull. Many of them I pick up second hand with the intention of assembling it once and then passing it on, maybe selling it on Marketplace, or in a yard sale or if they are missing their pieces, I would just send them back to the thrift store.

This Cobble Hill 1000 piece Fruit basket Quilt was thrifted some time ago and it is complete, so it will hopefully go home with a new owner next weekend after our yard sale.
