This puzzle took the internet by storm about 5-6 years ago. Galison puzzles partnered with the design company Jonathan Adler on a series of luxe and interesting shaped gold foil puzzles, Joe bought one of these for me in 2020 for Christmas.
If you’ve been here for a while… firstly, thank you for sticking around! But you may remember that Joe curated a personal puzzle subscription for me as a Christmas gift in 2020. I just looked back at some of those puzzles and they were amazing, what an incredible curation of puzzles. The last puzzle in that collection was another Jonathan Adler puzzle, I should redo that puzzle, it’s so gorgeous, as well as the Peony puzzle, looking back at the photos, they’re both stunning!
I came across this at the thrift store and I was pretty happy to see it. This particular line of puzzles were very expensive at the time of their release. Back then they went for about $50, (which in my opinion is much too much) so finding it for a second hand price is wonderful! I actually checked it out on the Galison website and it’s available for $14 plus shipping now. A much more friendly price, ha ha. So this is your time, if you had your eye on this one for as long as I did, get it from Galison, and not on Amazon because there are listings for the close to $50 dollar range. Yet another reason to not give Scamazon your hard earned dollars.
Anyway, rant over… This was pretty fun, I was missing a few pieces but that’s ok, I still had a great time assembling this and I think it still looks beautiful! I took it colour by colour and then finished up on the hand, and the hand was the toughest part! Please enjoy a photograph of the beautiful foil details.
This is a 750 piece puzzle that was found second hand, missing six pieces but just as gorgeous!
